Privacy notice
Cookit is a project by Cook Your Care srl. This page explains how we process personal data collected through the cookit.website site, in compliance with EU Regulation 2016/679 ("GDPR") and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Privacy Code) as amended.
In short: this site is a teaser page. We don't sell your data, we don't use it for profiling or advertising. The only thing we do with your contact details is to get back in touch about your interest in the startup.
1. Data controller
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) as the conditions of art. 37 GDPR do not apply. For any data-protection matter, you can write directly to the controller at the contacts above.
2. What we collect
Through this site we collect:
- data you voluntarily send us by email at info@cookyourcare.com (typically: name, surname, contact details, content of your message);
- in the future, once enabled, the data you will enter in the contact form on the homepage: full name, email address, profile (investor / partner / press / curious) and optional message;
- minimal technical data related to browsing (e.g. the IP address automatically communicated to the server during the connection, essential technical logs for service security).
We do not use tracking cookies, analytics tools, or advertising pixels.
3. Purposes
The data we collect is processed exclusively to:
- reply to your contact request and get back in touch about your interest in the startup;
- comply with any legal obligations related to handling the communications received;
- ensure the technical security of the site (system logs, abuse prevention).
We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or sending newsletters.
4. Legal basis
- For purposes 1 and 2: art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR — execution of pre-contractual measures at the data subject's request, and compliance with legal obligations. When you write to us via the form (once active), your explicit consent expressed through the privacy checkbox is added, under art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
- For purpose 3: art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest of the controller in keeping the site secure and functioning.
5. Retention
We retain your contact data for as long as strictly necessary to handle your request and follow up, and in any case no longer than 24 months from the last meaningful contact, unless you ask us to delete it earlier or unless legal obligations require longer retention.
Technical system logs are retained for the time necessary for service security, typically no longer than 12 months.
6. Recipients
The data we collect is processed by Cook Your Care srl and by persons authorised to process it. We may rely on external suppliers acting as data processors under art. 28 GDPR, in particular:
- the email provider hosting the info@cookyourcare.com mailbox;
- the hosting provider serving the site;
- our technical partner The BB's Way srl (BB's Way brand), which develops the site and, in the future, will manage the CRM where form submissions will be collected.
We do not share your data with third parties for autonomous purposes and we do not sell it.
7. Transfers outside the European Union
At present, we do not transfer any personal data outside the European Union. Typefaces and all static assets used by the site are hosted directly on our domain, and the processors operating on our behalf are based in the EU/EEA.
We will update this section should we use suppliers based in third countries in the future.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
This site does not use cookies: no third-party technical cookies, no profiling cookies, no analytics cookies.
Language selection is handled through distinct URLs (Italian at the site root, English under /en/), without storing any data or preferences on the user's device.
9. Your rights
At any time you may exercise the rights granted by articles 15-22 GDPR:
- access to your data,
- rectification,
- erasure (right to be forgotten),
- restriction of processing,
- data portability,
- objection to processing,
- withdrawal of consent, at any time and without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
To exercise them, simply email us at info@cookyourcare.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali — Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome — www.garanteprivacy.it).
10. Security
We adopt technical and organisational measures suitable to protect the data collected from unauthorised access, loss, alteration, or disclosure, in particular HTTPS connection and access limited to authorised personnel only.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice at any time, e.g. to reflect regulatory changes or new site features. The date shown at the top always indicates the latest update.
